Do you hear the word “collaboration” every day but still aren’t sure how to move collaborative efforts to the next level? Have you entered into collaborative relationships and been successful or have you failed? As a participant of the collaborative governance workshop, you will gain an understanding of the pre-conditions for successful collaboration between boards and even communities, have an opportunity to dialogue with other non-profit leaders to gain a sense of what works, what doesn’t and how we can ensure collaborations move from token to meaningful.
- Participants will understand and have the opportunity to discover and explore the pre-conditions and the mindset needed for successful collaboration – vision and shared values; shared measures and goals; capitalizing on core competencies and relationship building.
- Participants will leave with the ability to measure the “state of readiness” required for collaborative governance within organizations, between boards and even communities.
- Participants will leave with practical tools that can be applied in their workplace specific to collaborative governance.
