While most board members are familiar with issues related to liability, not all are fully aware of their ethical and legal responsibilities. This includes being able to identify a potential conflict of interest and what to do about it.
In this session you will review the distinctions between ethics and legal responsibilities as well as how they are linked. Through the use of interactive exercises and case studies, you will have an opportunity to discuss your ethical and legal responsibilities in a comprehensive way. This will include the benefits of developing a standardized approach for your board to help you work through ethical issues and address conflicts of interest (both actual or perceived) together as a board.
You must attend Part 1 from 8:45 – 10:15 a.m. in order to attend Part 2
