Jodi Goebel

Jodi’s not-for-profit sector experience includes terms as both a board volunteer and executive director. She is presently the Civic Co-Chair of Edmonton’s NextGen and passionate about the power of good governance to help organizations create meaningful impact in their communities. Jodi is currently a Volunteer Instructor with the Board Development Program (BDP) at Alberta Culture and Tourism.

Jodi completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree at the University of Alberta, majoring in Business Economics and Business Law. She currently works for the City of Edmonton as a Corporate Planning Advisor, and is part of the team working to update the City’s ten-year strategic plan.

Prior to joining the City, Jodi worked overseas as a business development and marketing professional with a number of technology companies, and in rural Alberta as the manager of a Regional Economic Development Alliance.

In addition to her position with the City, Jodi is an avid volunteer with an active lifestyle. She enjoys spending time outdoors, in all seasons, and can often be found shuttling back and forth from Edmonton to the mountains for a weekend adventure.
