Kristin Lewis

Kristin Lewis is a Community Development Officer with Alberta Culture, working with a broad range of clients in the public service, whether non-profit and volunteer boards, or other Ministries in Government. This facilitation work involves design and delivery of sessions on a variety of issues such as organizational planning and development, board governance, public consultation and facilitation training.

Most of Kristin’s career has been focused on supporting municipal governments, working for 7 years with the Department of Municipal Affairs in various policy writing roles and with the Mediation and Dispute Resolution Team, and previous to that, five years with the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties. Her interest and focus has been on negotiation, mediation, facilitation and conflict resolution, which all started with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta. She has also completed a certificate in Consensus Decision making from the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society.

Kristin would characterize her personal life with a willingness to try any sport at least once, but never committing the time and focus to become really good at any sport in particular. However, she does dedicate an inordinate amount of time to finding new ways of expressing frustration on the golf course, and you’ll often find her strapping on the skates at the hockey rink during the golfing off season.
