Peter Schalk

Peter is deeply committed to volunteerism and, in addition to his role as a volunteer instructor with the Board Development Program, currently serves on the boards of the Sombrilla International Development Society, Alberta Council for Global Cooperation and Edmonton Social Planning Council. Peter’s board involvement has largely focused on his interests in policy development and board recruitment.In 2017, Peter was recognized for his contributions to international and community development by being selected as a Top 30 Under 30 by the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation. Professionally, Peter has worked with both the federal and provincial government and currently works in emergency management. When Peter does have a moment to spare, he enjoys travelling, rowing and curling.
