San San Sy

San San became interested in the non-profit sector when she joined a non-profit board three years after arriving in Edmonton. Since then, she continues to serve on non-profit boards where she contributes her knowledge and her intercultural perspective. In recent years, she had mentored new board presidents.
San San is currently a Volunteer Instructor with the Board Development Program (BDP) at Alberta Culture and Tourism.

San San is an adult educator specializing in community-centered adult learning and web-based learning. She was a consultant on a project wherein she developed print and web-based learning materials and trained non-profit and Registered Charity board members in western Canada to enhance their understanding of legal compliance requirements, board accountability and transparency. San San holds a MSc Education degree majoring in Educational Design & Adult Education and a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting.
